10 hours 。1493m (4898 ft)

2nd Jan 2011
This is an unbelievable trip of a lifetime!
My running club have organised a jungle trekking for some our club member (who likes to climb)
they estimate 15 runners to join this activities , if too many people then the organiser will hard to control . So ya, i feel im so lucky can join them because they trust i can climb mountain.

They told me it will be about 10 to 12 hours jungle trekking but I thought it was just an over estimation.
The main thing was I do not even know where I was going and not knowing some of the uncle. I telling my friends that i will be going to climb a highest jungle in Selangor.

wohoo....feel so excited !!!!

History of Gunung Nuang:
"Mount Nuang is located in Malaysia with the height of 1,493 metres(4,898 ft). Its peak marks the meeting point of 3 Malaysian states; Negeri 9 ,Pahang and Selangor. The mountain itself is the highest point in Selangor and part of the Titiwangsa Mountains.

There are 3 hiking routes to the peak and all of them were built by Malaysian Department of Wildlife and National Parks. Two of them start in Selangor, one at Kuala Pangsoon in Hulu Langat and another at Kampung Kemensah in Gombak. The thirs path originates from Bukit Tinggi in Bentong, Pahang. Genting Highlands is visible at night from the peak."

well, B4 we start to climb, we pack all the stuff to keep as our lunch such as nasi ayam, banana, bread and etc....

we take some of the group pixs:P
I slept at about 2am before and wake up early as 3.30am.
that time im still in sleepy mode. Wake up!!!!!

Alright, the journey begun about 6.35am. The sky still dark
We started to enter deep into jungle.

One thing to mention here is that we had walked the terrain ascending and descending the hill for hours NON STOP!!!!
which was not yet reaching the hill of Gunung Nuang

Finally we reaches to a hut for a break .It should be around 90 minutes trekking,
oops nonono, should be walking non stop. If not mistaken, there were 3 such huts before reaching to Kem Lolo.
And the distance between each huts was no joke to be more than 40 minutes flat terrain.

we started to going deep into the jungle and the "real" trekking bugun.
No more flat terrain but the small pathways along the jungle crossing the big trees.
Again, it was a long pathway up and down the jungle~

some rocky part ascending up the hill.

Finally, we reached to the top. It wasn't the top of the hill but the top of the waterfall.

camwhoring all the time><>
Well, 7 ppl of us are waiting another group of uncle for half hour to come to meet with us only we continue our journey. So we are actually take this chance to rest and take pictures:)

Uncle Peter had been trekking here for more than 5 times i think? Because he also cant remember how many times he had been here....
I was soooooo admire him carrying 10 kg's bag and still can climb so fast!@@
9am
we finally reached at Kem Lolo.
It is a shot where people build up camps here and stay overnight to enjoy the mother of nature.
Some even stay overnight here where they start their journey climbing to the summit middle in the night.
We continued our journey up to the nest target point which was the Kem Pacat
Kem Pacat was the base of Gunung Nuang. The time taken to reach here from our starting point is about 3hours +++.
What a long continuous journey that we had endured.

Soon after Kem Lolo, we needed to undergo river pathways.
The things that we all regret is wearing running shoe instead of sandals or crocs initially.
Never cross with a sportshoe or else it will be a burden for u later due to increase of weight and uneasy feelings of wet legs.

We take a rest at Kem pacat.
Ofcourse will takes some pixs!! We saw a huge Vines at there and it was so special!
i like it so much!

The weather at there is getting colder as well
11.52am
we still climbing all the way to the peak!
somehow we will stretches our whole body.
As they say, the journey is getting harder n harder, i sweat all the way~
it is like vertically!!!!!!!!
They said this sign or logo on this stones is where we get nearer to Pahang. izit? or??uhmmmm
12.30pm
Finally! finally!!!!!! we reached!!!!! it is almost 5 hours only reach to the peak!
i was so happy until dunno what to say about it! It so amazing!

ooooshhh.....i got scretched by stones, it is so pain!
somehow i started feel my leg hurts. my muscle is pain towards thigh

we have our lunch at there, our nasi ayam become ice aready
i cant even eat, because the rice is hard like stone== end up i eat some breads and banana!haha

OMG!! it so beautiful!!! can u see that?!I love the beauty of nature so much!
especially the green trees..oossshhhh.how i wish i can stay here for a night enjoy the mother nature.
the weather at there is like Genting, b4 that we are suffering on sweating, but now we are suffering for the low temperature. COLD~@@

oh ya, 1 thing i never think b4 is i can meet my friend there.i saw a group or member also from running club(cari runners),i also 1 of their member..kekekx.
And they stay over night at there.
That time when he say hi to me i still wondering who is that.
But after that when he told me he is one of my fb's friend,i was like....omg!!!!
This world is soo small~i still can meet my friend at 4898ft peak at Gunung Nuang!!!!!thats cool right?:P
hahahaha, well, this is how fb works~teehee..XD

These were the bunch of adults that a went with for the trekking.

b4 we left must have a group picture!

1.30pm
we going to say byebye to the peak.
it is not easy for ur to going down ! But is is faster than we climbing the mountain.
i wish i can have a rope same like tarzan straight swing to the starting point.
Because my leg is really hurts,i cant walk fast. But i have to!so yea.......:(

we found out that still got ppl live at there, orang asli?
uhm, not sure la.
3 children sitting at there selling soft drinks. All of us buy from them,it is only costs 2 bucks!
and we still left 1 dozen of bread with us, they r so kind donate the breads to them.

4.47pm
we took pics with them:)
well, we continue walking back

5.50pm
The journey is like so long...i cant even walk faster
because my leg is pain pain pain!.somehow i terbalik walking , its feel better.

finally!we reach there at 6pm like that. we spend 4 hours 30mins to coming back.
Got 1 group of people giving us a big hand for welcome us coming back and also congrats us for complete the whole journey . They are so nice, im happy anywhere^^

7.50pm
we went to somewhere cheras there for our dinner.
everyone is so hungry! and im so tired...even stand also cal fall asleep..can u imagine how tired of me?
Everyone's whole body is kinda pain@@
